Community Guidelines
Last updated: 10 July 2026
FilmFeed is a place to discover films, share honest opinions, and see what your friends are watching. These guidelines keep it welcoming for everyone. They apply to everything you post — ratings, reviews, Original Pieces, comments, reactions, lists, usernames and profile photos, and form part of our Terms of Use. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users.
Be respectful
Disagree about a film all you like — but not the person. No harassment, bullying, threats, or hate speech targeting people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any other protected characteristic.
Keep it about film
Reviews, Original Pieces and comments should be about movies and the people who make them. Off-topic rants, arguments and personal feuds don't belong here.
Be honest — no manipulation
Rate and review films you actually have an opinion on. Don't post fake ratings or reviews, brigade a title, run multiple accounts to sway scores, or spam links and self-promotion.
Write your own reviews
Your reviews and Original Pieces should be your own words. Don't plagiarise other writers or critics or pass off others' work as yours.
Keep it legal and safe for the community
- No unlawful content, and no links to pirated films or streams.
- No sexually explicit, graphic, or gratuitously violent content.
- No impersonating other people, brands, or FilmFeed staff.
- Respect privacy — don't post other people's personal information without their consent.
- No spoilers passed off maliciously; use judgement and warn where you can.
Reporting and blocking
If you see something that breaks these guidelines, report it: use the report option on a review, comment or profile. You can also block any user from their profile, so neither of you sees the other's content. Reports are reviewed so we can remove content or accounts that break the rules.
Enforcement
Depending on the severity and history, we may remove content, limit features, or suspend or permanently remove accounts that break these guidelines or our Terms of Use. We aim to be fair and proportionate.
