Terms of Use

Last updated: 10 July 2026

Welcome to FilmFeed ("FilmFeed", "the app", "we", "us") — a movie-discovery and social app for rating films, writing reviews and longer pieces, building lists, and following friends. These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and FilmFeed. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use FilmFeed.

Who can use FilmFeed

You must be at least 13 years old to use FilmFeed, and old enough to form a binding contract in your country. You must also meet any minimum age required by your app store and by the app's content rating. If you are under the age of digital consent where you live, you may only use FilmFeed with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

Your account

You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login secure, and for activity that happens under your account. Provide accurate details and keep them up to date. Tell us at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised. You can delete your account at any time from Account → Account Management → Delete account.

Your content

"Your content" means the ratings, reviews, Original Pieces, comments, lists, reactions and other material you post. You keep ownership of your content. You grant FilmFeed a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce and distribute your content within the app and its features (for example, showing your public reviews to other users) for as long as you keep it posted. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared with others or retained as required by law.

You are responsible for your content and confirm that you have the rights to post it and that it does not break the law or these Terms. By default, reviews, Original Pieces and comments are public to other signed-in users. Do not post anything you would not want to be public.

Acceptable use

Using FilmFeed means following our Community Guidelines. In short, you agree not to:

Moderation, suspension and termination

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You can report objectionable content or users, and block any user so that neither of you sees the other's content. We review reports and may — at our discretion and without notice — remove content, limit features, or suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms or our Community Guidelines, or where we reasonably need to protect users or the service. We act on reports of objectionable content promptly and remove repeat or serious offenders. You may stop using FilmFeed and delete your account at any time.

Movie data and third-party services

Film information, artwork and where-to-watch data are provided by third parties, including The Movie Database (TMDB) and OMDb. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Poster images and other artwork are the property of their respective owners and are shown for identification and discovery. Availability and where-to-watch details can change and may not always be accurate.

Intellectual property

FilmFeed, its name, logo, and the app's design and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any right to our branding. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Disclaimers

FilmFeed is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that movie data is accurate or complete.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FilmFeed will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and your mandatory consumer-protection rights are unaffected.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, surfaced in the app. Continuing to use FilmFeed after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live. FilmFeed is offered in Ireland, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and Australia; local laws in your country may also give you additional rights.
